Out now, the most recent installment in the movie franchise, “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” is a great addition to the action film genre.

Justin Frattura, April 18, 2019 – A new cinematic standard has been set with, “Mission: Impossible – Fallout.” The action sequences are more ambitious and grittier than ever, and are truly a joy to watch.

Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames return in this movie along with Henry Cavill, Alec Baldwin and Michelle Monaghan.

“Mission: Impossible – Fallout” Begins after a failed attempt to get plutonium out of the hands of terrorists, Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and CIA agent August Walker (Cavill) find themselves chasing the trail of these terrorists. Their leads steer them towards France, where they plan to ambush a convoy carrying the plutonium.

The story isn’t the most in-depth piece ever, but the fights, the stunts and the choreography are all amazing to watch. If you are a fan of John Wick or The Raid this is definitely the movie for you.

The special effects are beautiful and almost seem real. It’s really hard to tell what is a stunt and what is computerized.

If there is one criticism to have with this film it is that the story isn’t great. It’s paced a little too fast and some of the plot points are very weak. Some of the character arcs in the film don’t make any sense at all.

The positives of this movie out weigh the negatives. It’s not a life changing story, but the performances are unforgettable. If you are looking for some gritty, well-choreographed action look no further than, “Mission: Impossible – Fallout.” This film is perfect for anybody who is a fan of the action genre.

And of course, they brought that classic, “Mission: Impossible,” theme again.

This year, Mariah Carey has been set to win an Icon award during the ceremony. She is one of the only artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart every year for a whole decade. She is going to perform some of her biggest hits alongside other Icon award winners such as Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Cher and many more.

I Like It featuring Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin

Oddly enough Cardi B. is actually going to be competing against herself in three different categories due to the many collaborations she did on songs this year. The categories are top hot 100 song, top selling song and top collaboration. It would be a stroke of bad luck if she walked away empty handed this year.

MIA by Bad Bunny featuring Drake

Also many artist are winning awards for genres they aren’t known for. Drake is being nominated for Latin Trap with his feature on MIA. Justin Bieber is being nominated for top R&B song for his feature on No Brainer.

It is certainly a year of first for the Billboard Music Awards which will be live Wednesday, May 1, at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

The county board of supervisors voted Tuesday to approve the current plan and release $118 million in taxpayer funding for it, despite last-minute entreaties from some art and architecture critics who urged the board to vote against the project.

Michael Govan, the museum’s director, in turn, took to the Opinion page of The Los Angeles Times to present his case.

“This is the big green light everybody has been waiting for,” Mr. Govan said after the meeting, where leaders of neighboring museums and celebrities like Brad Pitt and Diane Keaton made short public comments of support. “Now we can go ahead with construction drawings and go raise the rest of the funds with the assurance this is going forward.”” Excerpt from New York Times

Little

There’s a new comedy coming out this April, Little comes from the creators of blackish and Barbershop: The Next Cut . The movie follows the life of Jordan Sanders (Regina Hall) an uptight boss, as she gets a chance to be 13-years-old again. Blackish star Marsai Martin was inspired by the Tom Hanks classic Big which follows a similar premise. Martin is the acting executive producer, and is the youngest to hold the job at 14-years-old.

Little Trailer

Marsai got her start in 2013 in the film Fun Mom Dinner and later had a lead role on the popular ABC show blackish. Although she has some experience with acting, Little will be her first big role on a set. She had this idea at 10 years old to recreate one of her family’s favorite movies growing up, except the catch is this one will be in reverse.

If your are a fan of the previously mentioned sitcom blackish or any other classic comedies than Little is the movie for you. It combines all of the style of humor from the early 1990s along with an overarching message. The main character Jordan undergoes a comedic transformation and now us to kiss up to the very people she harassed. Will she learn a lesson in the end? Viewers will have to find out on April 12.

Although the movie was previously set to open on September 20, it is now opening on April 12, 2019. This is good news to everyone who was excited by the incremental trailers that have been coming out. It’s also exciting news for one of the youngest executive producers in the industry, who can’t wait to see her production on the big screen.

Sing About Me I’m Dying of Thirst

This 12 minute track is by far one of Kendrick’s most beloved. Each stanza tells its own story about the effects of fame. The first tells the story of Kendrick’s friend who was gunned down in Compton and how his story helps him be remembered. The second is about another one of Kendrick’s late friends, and the family this time around would rather not have their daughters death publicized. The last stanza is Kendrick’s take on the whole thing and how he believes he should be able to tell these stories for others to understand. It is a very long song, but definitely worth listening to.

Swimming Pools

Swimming pools is a brilliant song that has two messages. The first is the horrors of alcoholism he experienced growing up. The second is the fact that he is also insulting the peer pressure of drinking with the hook where he constantly saying, “drank.” He also does this through mentioning, “swimming pools,” full of liquor, which is him making fun of people that believe this type of behavior is cool.

Untitled 05/ 09.21.2014

Untitled Unmastered is an album of unfinished songs released in 2016. Although they are unfinished they are still very great songs. Untitled 05 is no exception, by far the most mysterious song on the album. If you know anything about Kendrick’ back story you will know that he deals with a lot of demons. This song is simply about one of those demons, he sings about loneliness.

The Art of Music

A normal person usual listens to music every now and then and thinks nothing of it, I am not that person. I listen to music all the time, and always find myself searching for deeper meaning in a song. Whenever I think of music with deeper meaning I always look to Kendrick Lamar. In this blog I want to highlight some of these songs through his greatest hits.
